BossGiddy Cost & Construction Advisory Ltd ("BossGiddy", "we", "our", or "us") operates the BossGiddy CostGuard Intelligence Suite and related services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our platform.

By subscribing to or using CostGuard, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Name, email address, and phone number when you register
• Payment information processed securely through Flutterwave (we do not store card details)
• Subscription plan and access code details
• Any cost data, project records, rates, and entries you input into your private CostGuard workspace

Information collected automatically:

• Login activity and session data
• Feature usage patterns to improve the platform
• Device and browser type for compatibility purposes

2. Your Private Data is Yours

Any cost data, material rates, labour rates, subcontractor quotes, BOQ entries, project records, or any other information you enter into your private CostGuard workspace belongs exclusively to your firm. We do not share, sell, publish, or use your private workspace data for any purpose other than delivering the platform service to you.

Your private database is logically separated from other subscribers' data and is not accessible by BossGiddy staff except where technically required to resolve a support issue, and only with your consent.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your CostGuard subscription account
• To process payments and send subscription confirmations
• To deliver live market rate updates and alerts to your account
• To provide customer support when you contact us
• To send important platform updates, rate alerts, and service notifications
• To improve and develop the CostGuard platform based on aggregate usage data

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using Supabase, a secure cloud database infrastructure. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Access to the database is controlled through role-based authentication and API key management.

While we take all reasonable measures to protect your data, no system is completely immune to security risks. We recommend using a strong, unique password for your CostGuard account.

5. Payment Processing

Payments are processed through Flutterwave, a licensed payment service provider. BossGiddy does not store, handle, or have access to your card or bank account details. All payment transactions are governed by Flutterwave's own security standards and privacy policy.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information and subscription records for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your account data is retained for 90 days to allow for reactivation, after which it may be permanently deleted upon request.

Your private workspace data (rates, projects, BOQ entries, etc.) is retained for the duration of your subscription. You may request a full export or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

7. Cookies

CostGuard uses minimal browser storage (localStorage) to remember your session state and read notification preferences. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

8. Your Rights

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Export: Request an export of your private workspace data
• Opt-out: Unsubscribe from non-essential communications at any time

9. Third-Party Services

CostGuard integrates with the following third-party services:

• Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure
• Flutterwave — payment processing
• Google Fonts — typography (loaded from Google's CDN)

Each of these services operates under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them if you have concerns.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify active subscribers by email if the changes are material.

Continued use of CostGuard after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
